I’m happy to report that our first webinar, held last Thursday, was a success; I had a great time presenting strategies to help applicants turn admissions essays from good to great. Perhaps the best part of the webinar was the lengthy Q&A session that followed the presentation. I was extremely impressed by the quality of the questions I saw and was happy to be able to answer so many of them.
If you were unable to attend, the webinar was recorded and has been posted on the EssayEdge website. You can watch it at:
Future webinars will be recorded and posted on this same page, so check back regularly!
In addition, we’ll be holding our second webinar next Thursday, October 28, at 4PM EST. This one will be a bit different than the last, as it’s specifically geared toward parents of college applicants. The webinar will focus on ways that you can support a child who is writing admissions essays without taking over. I’m extremely excited about the content of this webinar (I just put the final touches on the first full PowerPoint draft, in fact), and hope that many of you – or your parents – will be able to join me.
Space is limited, so register early here.
Finally, I’d like to take a minute to draw your attention to some content we’ve added to the EssayEdge website over the past weeks and months. It’s been an extremely busy year for everyone on our team, and some of our efforts have been focused on updating and adding to the information featured on our website. I’ve written some of that, as have several of our top editors. If you haven’t taken a good look around our website lately, I encourage you to do so. In addition to an awesome new design that’s easier to navigate, the site has updated sample essays and even articles on various topics related to admissions essays. Below, I’ll provide a direct link to one of my favorites. Enjoy!
