Michael is a writer, editor, and theatre director, who began working with clients from EssayEdge’s parent company in 2002. He edits several online spaces, including one in collaboration with Canada's National Arts Centre and another that won ‘Best Arts and Culture Blog’ and ‘Best Blog Post’ in The Canadian Blog Awards. His writing has been published in Lets Go Travel Guides, The Globe and Mail, Canadian Theatre Review, NOW Magazine and Fuse Magazine. As a theatre director he has directed twelve productions, including two Dora- nominated performances (Toronto's Tonys), and has trained and coached actors for over a decade. He teaches an annual class for directors at Canada’s National Theatre School and spent a season as an assistant director at The Shaw Festival. Most recently, Michael has been working as a curator with Harbourfront Centre and completed a national tour of a play he directed that was an adaptation of a Facebook note for the stage.
